
On June 20, CITL welcomed five visitors, Professor Yusuke Morita (Director), Professor Fumiko Inoue, Assistant Professor Mayumi Abe, Research Associate Nozomi Fujikawa, and Administrative Staff Yoshiyuki Ogino, from Center for Higher Education Studies at Waseda University to exchange opinions related to open education and preparing future faculty (PFF) programs.
CITL Director Yukari Kato introduced the center’s key initiatives. Specially Appointed Expert Satoshi Kadomatsu presented on the production of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), highlighting the active involvement of TAs in the Online Content Research and Development Project (OCRD). Specially Appointed Assistant Professor Takuya Asayama explained the findings from the survey on existing PFF programs and outlined the plan of CITL’s PFF program: Preparing Future Faculty and Professionals (PFFP) program.
Administrative Staff Ogino from Center for Higher Education Studies at Waseda University provided an overview of Waseda University and described the center’s efforts in the MOOC development and on the training programs for TAs.
We had then a fruitful exchange of opinions on the initiatives of the two universities.
