On October 1, an online session of “Introduction to TA” (Introductory TA Training) was conducted. Eighty-one students from the undergraduate to doctoral degrees in Science and Engineering fields participated in this session.
The training began with a lecture by Deputy Director Yamashita, who explained the basic responsibilities and key considerations for teaching assistants. This was followed by a group activity in which participants discussed how to respond to potential issues that may arise in actual TA duties. They also explored how those problem-solving approaches could be applied in other contexts.
To conclude the session, representatives from each group presented the outcomes of their discussions, and Director Kato provided feedback based on the presentations.
